This week we are invited to pray for the 4 Sisters and 50 Associates ministering in Switzerland, from the Cuneo and Lyon Congregations. In 1900, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cuneo sent "missionaries" to Switzerland and settled in Basel, Naters, Goppestein, Bern. Many Italian men emigrated in search of work, in constructing tunnels, working in mines, factories and road maintenance. The work was safe, but the human price to pay was high! Loneliness, marginalization, tiring fatigue, due to working conditions, language, distance ... The presence of Sisters was the stable figure. Currently one sister is remains, engaged in the apostolic mission of catechesis, visits to the elderly, liturgical animation ... in favor of migrants.
